We are looking for writers to report about the hottest places and events in New York, Atlanta, Miami, San Francisco, Chicago, and Los Angeles. That’s right. We are looking for writers to cover where to go and what to do in your city.

Responsibilities include:

  • Writing local pieces of content on a daily basis
  • Making sure all content matches the voice of SocialDiva.com
  • Working with Editor in Chief to follow Editorial Calendar
  • Making sure everything is completed by deadline
  • Attending key industry events for reporting and feature opportunities
  • Suggesting cross-promotion relationships and partnerships with like-minded sites

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, new media, or related field
  • Minimum 1-year editorial experience, including writing for websites and blogs
  • Proven track record under quick deadlines
  • Knowledge of and interest in popular lifestyle blogs and sites

Further qualifications: You are a Digital Carrie Bradshaw, Web 2.0 savvy, and you ARE a Social Diva. You MUST live in the city you are applying to write about. You not only follow trends—you set them. You Twitter, Facebook, and are dialed in so that others look for your lead. Work all day, play all night, and shoe shop in between. You know what is hot but you also know that taking care of yourself is essential, important and non-negotiable.  This is the heart of SocialDiva.com.

Everything must be pre-approved as Diva-worthy, meaning you’ll want to bring us the best of the best your city has to offer. Articles will be published on SocialDiva.com and on various partners of Social Diva.

Finally, you are an all around go-getter! You won’t be pitched, but can be bribed! You find original content always!
